Your information

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message so we can respond to your enquiry. We use these details only for that contact and do not retain them longer than necessary.

Downloading the wishes form

Clicking a download button may generate an internal email containing the time, language/page and selected button. It contains no visitor name, email address, IP address or browser details. To limit notifications, we store only attempt timestamps; entries older than 24 hours are removed on the next attempt. The PDF remains available if the notification fails.

Condolence messages

When you leave a condolence message, we process your name, email address and message. We use your email address to confirm that it works. After confirmation, your name and message are shown publicly on the memorial page; your email address is not shown publicly. The message remains until the administrator removes it or the page. The confirmation link expires after 24 hours; expired, unconfirmed submissions are cleaned up periodically when the service is accessed. The data is stored in our hosting provider's database. Confirmation emails are sent through STRATO. A photo added by the administrator is displayed publicly on the memorial page and remains there until the administrator removes it or deletes the page. Embedded image metadata, such as location data, may remain in the file.

Cookies and localStorage

We do not use non-essential cookies without your consent. The website uses localStorage to remember your language preference. Your cookie choice is also stored locally so we can apply it on later visits. If browser storage is unavailable, a choice is retained only on the current page. These preferences contain no contact details.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

The Google tag loads when a page opens, with consent for analytics and advertising storage set to "denied". Without consent, no cookies are set or used for these purposes. The tag may still send requests without cookies to Google, for example containing consent status and information about the page visited, for measurement and modelling. If you allow optional cookies, we enable Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement with cookies. Full measurement starts only after you give consent. Ad personalisation remains disabled. You can change your choice later through the cookie settings on the website. After consent, we record a Google Ads conversion when a contact form is successfully sent, and when the wishes form download, a call link or the WhatsApp button is clicked. A click does not confirm a completed call, message or saved download. The form contents and your contact details are not sent to Google as conversion data.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent through our mail server to info@uitvaartmetzorg.info. The form does not store the message in the condolence database. To limit spam, the website temporarily stores a pseudonymous hash of your IP address and submission attempts. To prevent duplicate sending, we also keep a protected hash of the submission, without storing the form content itself. This temporary data is cleaned up on a subsequent submission once it is more than 24 hours old. The email is processed and retained according to our email provider's settings.
